Nutcracker Ballet The Community Arts Advisory Council was proud to sponsor the La Mesa Arts Academy in East County's first ever production of "The Nutcracker" in the new Salvation Army Joan Kroc Performing Arts Theater in 2003. Our cast included performers from around the county and the country! Many public schools were represented by our students who live throughout the area. Directed by Teresa Wells, this production was a delight for the child in all of us. In 2004, we presented The Nutcracker in the Educational Cultural Complex Performing Arts Theater in November, and again in the Joan Kroc Theater in December. Our performances featured 75 performers from La Mesa Arts Academy and Mirabile Ballet Co. Our popular "Nutcracker Boutique" was held in the lobbies of both shows. Many people joined us for this popular family tradition, to help fulfill our mission of offering quality arts presentations for San Diego and East County regions. |
Nutcracker 2005 |
This year we were back at the Joan Kroc Performing Arts Theater by popular demand. On Dec. 17 & 18 we performed our popular "Nutcracker." Many or your favorite performers were back again this year, as well as, Dana Nelson (Boston Theater Ballet) & Jose Chavez (Pittsburgh Ballet)as Sugar Plum and Cavalier.
